Focussive ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by SOLASE Studio, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application and associated services collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Focussive mobile application and Chrome companion extension.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account & Authentication Information

When you register an account, we collect:

• Email Address and Name (provided during registration or social sign-in).
• Authentication Identifiers generated via our authentication provider, Clerk, to securely authenticate your identity across your devices.

B. User-Generated Productivity Data

To provide the core focus and habit-building features of Focussive, we store:

• Focus session schedules, session names, and durations.
• Custom app groups and website groups you create for blocking.
• Focus session completion history and statistics (e.g. focus streaks, completed session counts).

C. Subscription and Purchase Information

• If you subscribe to Focussive Pro, transactions are processed securely through the Google Play Store.
• We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlements, and receipt validation. We do not collect or store your credit card or financial account numbers; all payments are handled directly by Google Play.

2. Android Device Permissions & On-Device Usage

Focussive requests certain sensitive device permissions strictly to deliver its core focus-session and app-blocking functionality. All tracking and blocking take place locally on your device:

• Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Used solely on-device to determine when a selected blocked application is opened during an active focus session, allowing Focussive to display the block screen. App usage history is never transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.
• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used to display the focus reminder and block overlay when a blocked app is launched during a focus session.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Used to run the persistent focus timer notification in the background so your session remains uninterrupted and accurate even when your screen is locked.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send you session start reminders, break countdown alerts, and session completion summaries.
• Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used to trigger scheduled focus session reminders at the exact time you have configured.
• Installed Applications Query (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Used to present you with a list of your installed apps so you can choose which distracting apps you want to block in your custom groups.
• Camera (CAMERA): Used solely for scanning QR codes to pair your mobile app with the Focussive desktop browser extension. Camera frames are processed strictly in real-time on-device and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Authenticate your access to your account across multiple devices.
• Synchronize your focus sessions, app groups, and session statistics.
• Verify your Focussive Pro subscription status.
• Provide customer support and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain and optimize app stability and performance.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We utilize trusted third-party services that process data in compliance with strict privacy and security standards:

• Clerk: User authentication and account identity management.
• RevenueCat & Google Play: In-app purchase verification and subscription management.
• Supabase / Heroku: Secure cloud database and API infrastructure for synchronizing focus sessions.

5. Data Security & Retention

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your personal data and focus history are permanently deleted from our servers.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion Requests

You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal data:

• You can manage your account directly within the app settings.
• To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, you can email us at contact@solase.studio. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Focussive is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will immediately delete it from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
